CONDITIONS OF SALE

These Conditions of Sale apply to all orders placed with Ubuntu Store. By placing an order, you agree to these Conditions of Sale, together with our Terms of Service, Return and Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. PRODUCTS SOLD

Ubuntu Store sells general consumer products, including but not limited to home items, lifestyle products, accessories, gadgets, beauty items, fashion accessories, practical household goods and seasonal products.

Product categories may change at any time.

3. ORDER PROCESS

To place an order, the customer must:

- Select the desired product
- Add the product to the cart
- Provide accurate billing and delivery information
- Select a payment method
- Review the order summary
- Confirm the order
- Complete payment

After placing an order, the customer may receive an order confirmation message.

An order confirmation does not guarantee acceptance if there is a payment issue, pricing error, stock issue, fraud concern or delivery restriction.

4. ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS

Ubuntu Store reserves the right to accept, reject or cancel orders at its discretion, including but not limited to cases where:

- The product is out of stock
- Payment fails or is reversed
- The customer information is incomplete or incorrect
- Fraud is suspected
- The listed price was incorrect
- Delivery cannot be completed
- The order violates our policies
- There is an operational or supplier issue

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will process a refund for the cancelled item or order.

5. PRICES

Prices are displayed in South African Rand unless otherwise stated.

Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on store settings and legal requirements.

Ubuntu Store reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted, except in the case of obvious pricing errors.

6. PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due at the time of order.

Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully received or authorised.

Accepted payment methods may include debit cards, credit cards, instant EFT, digital wallets or other payment options displayed at checkout.

Ubuntu Store does not guarantee that every payment method will be available for every order.

7. PAYMENT SECURITY

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

Customers must ensure that they are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Ubuntu Store may cancel orders if payment appears suspicious, unauthorised or high-risk.

8. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All products are subject to stock availability.

If a product becomes unavailable after payment, we may offer:

- A refund
- Store credit
- A replacement product
- A delayed shipment, with customer approval

9. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

Ubuntu Store makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product information is accurate.

However, minor differences may occur between product images and actual products.

Customers are responsible for reading product descriptions, sizes, colours, quantities and specifications before placing an order.

10. DELIVERY

Delivery is handled according to our Shipping Policy.

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. Ubuntu Store is not responsible for courier delays or delays caused by incorrect customer information.

11. TRANSFER OF RISK

Risk in the product passes to the customer once the order is delivered to the address provided at checkout, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

12. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers are responsible for:

- Providing accurate order information
- Ensuring someone is available to receive delivery
- Checking product details before purchase
- Using products safely and according to instructions
- Reporting order issues within the required timeframe
- Keeping account and payment details secure

13. INSPECTION ON DELIVERY

Customers should inspect products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If an item is damaged, defective, incomplete or incorrect, the customer should contact Ubuntu Store within 7 calendar days and provide supporting photos or videos.

14. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Returns and refunds are handled according to our Return and Refund Policy.

Products must meet return conditions to qualify for refund, exchange or store credit.

15. CANCELLATIONS

Customers may request cancellation before an order has been processed or dispatched.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and must be handled through the return process where eligible.

16. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

Discount codes, promotions and special offers are subject to their own terms.

Unless stated otherwise:

- Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash
- Discounts cannot be applied after an order is placed
- Discounts may not be combined
- Promotions may be limited by date, stock, customer or order value
- Ubuntu Store may cancel promotions at any time

17. BUNDLES AND FREE GIFTS

If a customer returns part of a bundle or promotional order, the refund may be adjusted to reflect the value of any discount or free gift.

Free gifts must be returned with the main product if the qualifying product is returned.

18. FRAUD PREVENTION

Ubuntu Store may perform fraud checks before processing an order.

We may request additional information to verify an order. If verification is not completed, we may cancel the order and process a refund.

19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ubuntu Store is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a purchase, delivery delay, unavailable product, website issue or third-party service failure.

20. FORCE MAJEURE

Ubuntu Store will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier disruptions, supplier delays, natural disasters, power outages, internet failures, strikes, civil unrest, government restrictions or other unexpected events.

21. GOVERNING LAW

These Conditions of Sale are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
